Kearny Mesa Toyota, part of Penske Automotive Group, is looking for an experienced Customer Representative to join our team and help deliver extraordinary customer experiences.

The Customer Service Representative assists in the overall satisfaction of our customers. This position is responsible for making inbound and outbound calls and communicating with customers in person, via phone, text, and email as necessary.

Pay for this position is $18.50/hour.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Devotes themselves to ensuring satisfaction to customers

  • Deals with customer complaints in a sensible manner by showing empathy and a pleasant attitude to show our commitment to excellent customer service and to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty

  • Assists with answering customer inquiries and problems by routing them to the appropriate contact and or department

  • Assists service customers during the morning service rush, when possible

  • Conducts telephone and in-person transactions courteously and promptly

  • Respond to inbound appointment inquiries by phone, text message, and email

  • Reschedules missed appointments

  • Book appointments based on maintenance schedule in accordance with company policies and manufacturers specifications

  • Assists with answering customer inquiries and problems by routing them to the contact and or service department

  • Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technology changes in the product

  • Assists warranty clerk in maintaining the factory and extended warranty schedules -- payable and receivable

  • Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherence to timekeeping standards; Employees are required to record the beginning and ending times of any shift, meal break, or departure from work for personal reasons

  • Follows the Company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct

  • Understands and follows all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors

  • Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements

  • Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with company policy

  • Attends pertinent training and stays current with the service department concerns and service processes

  • Attends company meetings as required
